Höndör B. Margit
Innen Tirpákbokrétásról azt üzenjük a Mesternek:

fel a fejjel!

...

Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?
I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it,
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin',
I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin',
I saw a white ladder all covered with water,
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken,
I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.

And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?
And what did you hear, my darling young one?
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin',
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world,
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin',
Heard ten thousand whisperin' and nobody listenin',
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin',
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter,
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.

...

Oh, what'll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what'll you do now, my darling young one?
I'm a-goin' back out 'fore the rain starts a-fallin',
I'll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest,
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty,
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters,
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison,
Where the executioner's face is always well hidden,
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten,
Where black is the color, where none is the number,
And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it,
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it,
Then I'll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin',
But I'll know my song well before I start singin',
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.

TWA megirigyelte a tirpákok dagadó sikerét? Most mintha önmaga paródiáját írta volna meg.

Ennél a résznél szokott Gizike mindig elalélni.

Featured Poem: These Are The Clouds by W. B. Yeats

Last Wednesday (28th January 2009) was the seventieth anniversary of the death of W. B. Yeats. Living between the nineteenth and twentieth century, Yeats (1865-1939) was one of the writers who attempted an Irish Literary Revival and his poetry, in particular, draws heavily on Irish mythology and history.

The relationship between the archaic and the modern in Ireland at this time is presented as fairly antagonistic, and the problems which modernity can bring are explored in ‘These are the Clouds’. Yeats writes of the ‘discord’ which follows ‘upon unison’, and despairs for the time when all is in ruin; writing of the ‘fallen sun’, and of that all will ‘be tumbled that was lifted high’ and, mostly, his despair that ‘all things at one common level lie’ in a modernising society.

These Are The Clouds

THESE are the clouds about the fallen sun,
The majesty that shuts his burning eye:
The weak lay hand on what the strong has done,
Till that be tumbled that was lifted high
And discord follow upon unison,
And all things at one common level lie.
And therefore, friend, if your great race were run
And these things came, So much the more thereby
Have you made greatness your companion,
Although it be for children that you sigh:
These are the clouds about the fallen sun,
The majesty that shuts his burning eye.

W. B. Yeats, 1916

Vagy netán a Mester jenhitele fenyeget bedőléssel?

The serious illness of Lady Gregory (the "friend" addressed in the poem) combined with the threat to the Coole estate represented by the current land legislation, drew from Yeats this prospective elegy for her and her house. Her death, the destruction of the Coole Park, are still only potential - "if your great race were run" - but the deictic force of the repeated "these" brings into present time the as-yet hypothetical future.

gizike,

Hű, a mindenit.

NEM LÁTTA, HOGY A MESTER IS BEIDÉZETT EGY EGÉSZ VERSET A BLOGJÁBA?
ANGOLUL!
Így is lehúztam a cuccból 2 versszakot, maga surmó!

Mindegy, az intelligens tirpákok értékelik a munkámat.

Höndör B. Margit írta...

Bauer, most mit érzékenykedik?
